The American Bar Association (ABA) Commission on Homelessness & Poverty's 2026 Curtin Justice Fund Legal Internship Program applications are now open for Summer 2026! This dedicated law student will spend the summer working to prevent homelessness and assist homeless or indigent clients with their advocates. The fellow will also be paid a $3,500 stipend for their work over the summer.
ABA states, "The ideal intern will have a demonstrated interest in public interest law and experience working with people experiencing homelessness/poverty or on issues affecting them. All law students are eligible, and first-year law students are encouraged to apply. The intern must commit no less than eight continuous weeks between May 1 and September 1 to their chosen program."
Law students interested in working with LawNY to apply for this fellowship should email doprobono@lawny.org by February 27th so there is time to gather the necessary pieces for the application due to the American Bar Association by March 27th.
