There are countless individuals in our community who struggle with employment and medical problems as a result of having mismatched identification. This program will work to assist clients who identify as transgender and/or nonbinary, to legally change their name and/or gender marker.
Law students and graduates may draft petitions and supporting documents for pro se filings. Attorneys may review drafted pleadings or counsel a client through the entire process.
Clinic opportunities are often limited scope and attorneys will receive CLE credit for their pro bono assistance provided. Individual pro se case assignments outside of clinics are also available. Become a fan of this program today to be notified of new opportunities to make a difference!
