On June 1st, LawNY kicked off summer orientation for 10 law student interns and 6 undergraduate student interns. Our talented summer intern class includes students representing law schools in 5 states-- New York, California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Wisconsin. The 2-day orientation was conducted via Zoom meetings and included training by LawNY staff attorneys on their areas of practice. Interns participated in live presentations on skills and were invited to attend weekly Lunch and Learn sessions hosted by the Pro Bono Team throughout the summer. These interns will be assisting LawNY in a variety of different practice areas and increasing our frontline intake capacity.
