LawNY is in the News!  Mary Palermo, LawNY's Fair Housing Supervising Attorney, will be hosting a fair housing education session at the Geneva Public Library in Geneva, NY on March 20th from 5:45 to 7 p.m. to help locals understand their legal rights and protections.

At this informative session, attorneys will discuss typical forms of discrimination, fair housing protections, and what to do if your housing rights are infringed. The topics of this information session will include criminal justice involvement, addressing housing denials based on lawful sources of income, and federal and state housing protections related to race, skin color, religion, sex, disability, family status, and other characteristics.

Additionally, the event is free but registration is required. Please visit: https://www.fingerlakes1.com/2025/03/17/geneva-event-to-educate-residents-on-fair-housing-rights/ for more information on the session and how and where to register for this event! We hope to see you there!
